Mumbai, March 5 -- A high-level meeting convened at Vidhan Bhavan by Deputy Chairperson Dr. Neelam Gorhe on Thursday reviewed the findings of a state-wide safety audit concerning women's safety in public transport.
The meeting was held in the backdrop of the sexual assault case involving a minor girl in Badlapur and an incident at Swargate bus station.
Dr. Gorhe directed the administration to implement the recommendations made in the safety audit-conducted at 242 locations across the state by non-governmental organizations-on an urgent basis and within a fixed timeline.
