Kolkata, Feb. 21 -- A high-level special meeting will be held at the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in Kolkata on Monday at 4 pm to chalk out the deployment strategy and movement plan of central armed forces for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.

According to sources in the Election Commission of India, the meeting is being convened to take urgent stock of the ground situation and to finalise coordination mechanisms ahead of large-scale central force deployment.

The discussions will focus on how and where the forces will be stationed, their movement across districts, and coordination between central and state police authorities to ensure a peaceful electoral process.
