Agartala, April 29 -- A fierce storm, accompanied by intense rainfall, struck Tripura, inflicting extensive damage across all eight districts of the state in past 24 hours.
According to the report, in addition to power infrastructure and roads, about 1,534 houses suffered damage; among these, 76 were destroyed, 195 experienced severe impacts, and 1,263 were partially damaged.
Additionally, the storm damaged 129 electric poles and injured two individuals. Officials indicated that normal life was disrupted due to falling trees, strong winds, and heavy rain, leading to considerable infrastructure damage.
