Shimla, Feb. 25 -- The High Court of Himachal Pradesh has quashed criminal proceedings against a former Municipal Corporation councillor in a case registered under the Railways Act, holding that no offence was made out against him.
In a judgment delivered on February 23, Justice Sandeep Sharma allowed a petition filed by Diwakar Dev Sharma seeking quashing of December 18, 2020, FIR registered under Section 153 of the Railways Act.
The case had been lodged by the Railway Police Force in connection with the laying of a sewerage pipeline near the railway track between Tara Devi and Jutogh in Shimla.
