Beirut, June 2 -- Hezbollah on Tuesday said it carried out 41 military operations against Israeli forces in southern Lebanon and northern Israel on Monday in response to alleged Israeli ceasefire violations and attacks on civilians in Lebanon.

The attack by Hezbollah comes shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered strikes on Hezbollah positions in Beirut's southern suburbs.

Iran's Foreign Ministry said violations of the Lebanon ceasefire constituted a breach of a broader truce framework involving Washington and Tehran.

Later Trump announced that, following discussions with Netanyahu and Hezbollah representatives through intermediaries, both sides had agreed to a ceasefire.
