Aizawl, June 30 -- Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police have seized heroin worth more thanRs 7.4 crore in two separate joint operations in Mizoram, arresting three alleged drug traffickers.

In the first operation, carried out on June 29 at Seling Check Post in Aizawl district based on specific intelligence inputs, the joint team apprehended a resident of Manipur's Chandel district and recovered 14 hongs of Heroin No. 4 weighing about 150.97 grams.

The seized contraband is estimated to be worth around Rs 1.13 crore. A mobile phone was also recovered from the accused.
