Dharamshala, May 29 -- Police in Himachal Pradesh's Palampur have seized 16.19 grams of chitta/heroin from a vehicle near Hanuman Temple in Maranda Ward No. 10 and registered a case against the driver under the NDPS Act.
Kangra district superintendent of police Ashok Rattan told UNI this evening that the contraband was recovered on Wednesday from vehicle number HP67-8270 during checking near the temple area. He said that the accused has been identified as Kamaljeet, a resident of Khilru village under Bindravan post office in Palampur tehsil of Kangra district.
