Shimla, June 11 -- : In a major crackdown on an inter-state drug trafficking network, Himachal Pradesh's Nurpur Police has seized 264.6 grams of heroin (chitta), allegedly hidden inside the steering cowl cover of a car, in the Milwan area of Himachal Pradesh's Nurpur district.
According to the Nurpur Police district, Superintendent of Police Kulbhushan Verma, on Thursday, describing the seizure as the biggest heroin recovery in the district in the last one year, said that the recovered contraband falls under the category of commercial quantity under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
