Hyderabad, July 21 -- The Department of Heritage Telangana on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Society for Advancement of Human Endeavor (SAHE) for the identification, scientific documentation, conservation, restoration and promotion of historic stepwells across the State.
The MoU was signed by Director of Heritage Telangana Prof. Arjun Rao Kuthadi and SAHE representatives Kalpana Ramesh and Annapurna at the Department's office in Hyderabad.
Under the five-year agreement, the two organisations will identify and geo-tag historic stepwells, prepare a digital inventory and undertake archaeological, historical, architectural and technical documentation of the structures.
