Ranchi, June 13 -- : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday visited the historic Deori temple at Tamar and offered prayers for the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state.
Soren was accompanied by his wife and Gandey MLA Kalpana Soren during the visit to the ancient Solahbhuji Maa Deori temple, a prominent religious centre in Jharkhand.
The Chief Minister performed traditional rituals and sought blessings for the state's progress and prosperity. The puja was conducted by temple priest Manoj Panda and chief Pahan Sukhram amid Vedic chants.
A large number of devotees and local residents gathered at the temple premises during the Chief Minister's visit.
