Shimla, April 13 -- Himachal Pradesh governor Kavinder Gupta on Monday strongly condemned the brutal murder of a 19-year-old student in the Sarkaghat area of Mandi district and expressed deep grief over the incident.
Describing the incident as "heinous, inhuman and extremely disturbing," the governor said such acts of violence are unacceptable in a civilised society and must be dealt with the strictest action.
The governor spoke to Director General of Police Ashok Tiwari over the phone and sought detailed information about the case. He directed the police to ensure prompt and stringent action against the accused and bring them to justice at the earliest.
