Lucknow, Aug. 31 -- The monsoon is set to become active again in Uttar Pradesh. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange and yellow alerts, forecasting rainfall in many parts of the state over the next few days.
According to the Meteorological Department, the low pressure area formed in the northwestern Bay of Bengal and around the West Bengal-North Odisha coast, and the cyclonic circulation over northwestern Punjab and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir, is expected to significantly increase monsoon activity in Uttar Pradesh over the next 24 to 48 hours.
