Dhule, Sept. 13 -- Heavy rainfall in Shirpur taluka of Dhule district on Saturday disrupted normal life, leaving several areas waterlogged and causing damage to shops and residential properties.
The rainwater entered a commercial complex in the Karwand Naka area, located in the heart of Shirpur city, causing significant losses to traders.
Shopkeepers were seen wading through waist-deep water to retrieve their belongings.
Several Ganesha idols kept in the area were also soaked in the floodwater.
The Shirpur Municipal Council launched efforts to drain water from the affected shops and other waterlogged areas.
