Heavy rain likely in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi on Sept 4-5: IMD

Panchkula, Sept. 4 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh on September 4 and 5, while Uttarakhand is expected to receive heavy rain in some places from September 4 to 9.

In its All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin issued at 8.54 am on September 4, the IMD said rain was likely to cover many areas over Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi on September 4 and 5, followed by rain in fewer places from September 6 to 9.

Punjab is likely to receive rain in some to several places from September 4 to 9, while Himachal Pradesh is expected to have rain over many areas on September 4 and 5, and in fewer places from September 6 to 9.
