Chandigarh, Sept. 6 -- Haryana and Punjab are likely to receive heavy rain at isolated places on Sunday before rainfall activity decreases significantly from Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its latest forecast.

The IMD's All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin, issued at 8 am on Sunday, said isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Punjab, East Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh on September 6. Uttarakhand is also likely to receive isolated heavy rain on September 6-7 and again from September 10-12.
