Panchkula, Aug. 21 -- Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and Delhi are likely to receive heavy rainfall at isolated places on August 22, while a more sustained spell of heavy rain is forecast over the western Himalayan region, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin, issued by the National Weather Forecasting Centre on August 21, forecasts isolated heavy rainfall over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Punjab on August 22. The bulletin does not forecast heavy rainfall for these two meteorological subdivisions on August 21 or during August 23-27.
The wet spell is expected to be stronger over the hills.
