Panchkula, Aug. 20 -- Several parts of the country are likely to witness heavy rainfall over the coming days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting isolated heavy rain in Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar and parts of the Northeast on August 22.
The forecast comes as widespread rainfall is expected to continue across several parts of north and central India through the week.
