Panchkula, Aug. 16 -- Haryana and Punjab are likely to witness another spell of active monsoon weather over the next two days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting heavy rainfall at isolated places on August 17 and 18.
Rainfall activity is expected to intensify and become more widespread on August 18, when light to moderate rain is likely at many places across both states.
For August 17, the IMD has issued a heavy-rain warning for Panchkula, Ambala and Yamunanagar in Haryana. In Punjab, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar and SAS Nagar (Mohali) are under the heavy-rain alert.
