Lucknow, May 18 -- The heat wave has intensified in Uttar Pradesh, and an alert has been sounded in 33 districts on Monday.

Several districts, including Bundelkhand, are reeling under a severe heatwave. Slow winds have also increased the humidity. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for 33 districts on Monday.

The IMD recommends that people remain alert and appeals to people to avoid leaving the house during the afternoon while taking special care of the elderly, children, and the sick.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also instructed all district magistrates, the health department, the electricity department, and relief agencies to remain on alert. He also asked them to keep ambulance services active.
