Solapur, April 27 -- In Solapur, the prevailing heatwave conditions have begun to impact aviation operations, with rising temperatures posing challenges to aircraft performance.

Over the past month, the city has witnessed a steady increase in temperature, with the average touching nearly 44degC, leading to operational constraints during take-off, aviation sources said.

According to the sources, against this backdrop, Star Air has decided to scale down its Solapur-Mumbai flight operations. From May 1, the service will operate only twice a week instead of its current frequency. The revised schedule will remain in force until May 31, with flights available only on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
