Lucknow, May 22 -- The heat wave continues to wreak havoc in Uttar Pradesh.
The intense heatwave continued to pound the state for the past 5 days and maximum temperatures exceeded 45 degrees Celsius in seven districts of Bundelkhand and southern districts which are reeling under the heatwave and scorching sun.
Banda, with a maximum temperature of 47.6 degrees Celsius, was once again the hottest in the country on Thursday. Easterly winds during the day added fuel to the fire, and the increased heat index and apparent heat made people restless.
On Thursday the maximum temperature crossed 45degC in 7 cities of the state were 46.6degC in Prayagraj, 45.6degC in Varanasi, 45.2degC in Hamirpur Sultanpur and 45.1degC in Amethi. The temperature i...
