Lucknow, April 21 -- The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding the gradual increase in temperatures in Uttar Pradesh and the possibility of an excessive heatwave over the next five days.

According to the department, the weather in the state will remain dry, and temperatures are expected to rise further after April 21, leading to heatwave-like conditions in many areas.

A.K. Singh, a senior scientist at the Lucknow Meteorological Center, said that the weather will remain largely dry in the coming week, and the increase in temperatures could lead to heatwave conditions in various parts of the state. Night temperatures are also expected to remain above normal.
