Pune, April 30 -- A severe heatwave has gripped large parts of Maharashtra, with the Meteorological Department warning of continued extreme temperatures over the next five days.
Citizens are expected to face intense heat, especially during afternoon hours. In response, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation has issued detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to help residents cope with the rising temperatures.
The situation remains particularly critical in the Vidarbha region, where temperatures have crossed 46degC. Fresh warnings have also been issued for Marathwada and Vidarbha, indicating that the heatwave will persist in the coming days across the state, including Mumbai.
