Mumbai/Pune, April 26 -- The India Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave warning for parts of Maharashtra, while also forecasting rainfall in certain regions.
Over the next two days, the Konkan belt on the west coast of Maharashtra is expected to experience both heatwave conditions and rain simultaneously.
According to officials, cyclonic wind patterns have created pressure changes over the state, which will particularly impact the Konkan coastline. Temperatures in Mumbai and surrounding coastal areas have already reached around 41 degrees Celsius, and similar conditions are likely to persist for the next couple of days.
