Bengaluru, July 2 -- Alleging that Karnataka's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has been converted into a "document factory" for illegal migrants, union Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Thursday levelled a series of serious allegations against the Congress government, claiming the voter verification exercise was being manipulated to create fraudulent electors and demanding immediate intervention by the Election Commission of India.
Addressing a press conference at the JD(S) state headquarters, Kumaraswamy produced what he described as video evidence from Ramanagara district and alleged that mandatory Election Commission procedures were being openly violated.
