Shimla, March 31 -- Expressing displeasure over what it termed as a "callous attitude," the Himachal Pradesh High Court has pulled up officers of the Sukhu government for failing to ensure the presence of a responsible and competent officer during proceedings pertaining to dues of forest corporation employees.

Hearing CWP No. 1979 of 2024 (Jai Singh Verma & Ors. vs State of H.P. & Ors.), the court noted that although officials were present in compliance with earlier directions, none was sufficiently empowered or informed to assist the court on policy matters.
