Nagpur, July 11 -- : The Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court sharply questioned the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) over its demolition of the house of alleged Nagpur violence accused Fahim Khan, asking why similar prompt action is not taken against other unauthorised constructions.
A division bench of Justices Anil Kilor and Raj Wakode directed the civic body to file a detailed affidavit within two weeks, disclosing the name of the officer who ordered the demolition, the reasons for carrying out the action within 24 hours of issuing notice, and details of other cases in which similar swift demolition action was taken.
