Nagpur, March 31 -- In connection with the controversial statement made about Mahatma Gandhi, the Bombay High Court's Nagpur Bench on Monday ordered the police to register an FIR against journalist Pushpendra Kulshrestha.
The case pertains to remarks made during a programme recently organized in Nagpur, where Pushpendra Kulshrestha had made an objectionable statement about Mahatma Gandhi at a Hindu conference.
According to the petition, Kulshrestha stated that "Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi had stolen the song 'Ishwar Tero Naam', and therefore he cannot be the Father of the Nation of this country."It is also stated that he made other objectionable remarks about Gandhi.
Following this, a petition was filed seeking legal action.
