Bengaluru, Aug. 4 -- Karnataka High Court has granted interim relief to farmers opposing the proposed Bidadi Township project by directing the state government not to proceed with land acquisition until compensation is determined, JD(S) youth leader Nikhil Kumaraswamy claimed on Tuesday, terming the order a "major victory" for the ongoing farmers' agitation.
Speaking to reporters in Ramanagara, Nikhil said the interim order vindicated the legal battle launched by the JD(S) on behalf of farmers resisting the township project.
