Mumbai , Aug. 18 -- The Bombay High Court on Tuesday granted bail to the second convict in the 2013 murder of rationalist Dr Narendra Dabholkar on a parity basis, and suspended his life sentence pending the hearing of his appeal against conviction in a 13-year-old case that grabbed national headlines.
Convict Sachin Andure, one of the two men convicted in the case, was ordered to be released on bail by a division bench headed by Justice Sarang V Kotwal.
Andure was granted bail on the ground of parity with co-convict Sharad Kalaskar, who was released on bail by the High Court on April 29.
