Ranchi, Feb. 27 -- The Jharkhand High Court on Friday directed the Director General of Police to appear virtually and the Ranchi City SP and Officer in Charge of Doranda police station to remain physically present at 11.30 am.
The direction relates to alleged non-compliance of its order on release of a vehicle belonging to advocate Manoj Tandon. The court was informed that despite earlier directions, the seized car had not been released.
According to submissions made on behalf of Tandon, his vehicle was seized by Doranda police on February 17 in connection with a minor road accident. On February 21, a Ranchi civil court ordered release of the vehicle.
