Patna, June 28 -- A research team from Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (HBCH&RC), Muzaffarpur, a unit of Tata Memorial Centre, an aided institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, has developed an innovative Cancer Caregiver Support System (CCSS) to support families caring for oral cancer patients after surgery.

The findings of the pilot study have been published in the Indian Journal of Cancer this month. The study evaluated the impact of a low-cost, mobile-based support system designed to provide caregivers with practical guidance related to postoperative care, nutrition, hygiene, rehabilitation and symptom management.
