Kolkata, May 28 -- The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) on Thursday issued an advisory on its social media platforms warning residents of the city about a fake notice that is circulating on social media regarding the "removal of all unauthorised dala/stalls within one month" in the city centre.
The fake notice indicated that eviction drives will be conducted by the Kolkata civic body in two places including the pavement space at the Oberoi Grand Arcade and the area in front of Esplanade Metro Station in the heart of the city.
The Kolkata civic body in its social media posts clarified that the "notice" was fake and warned residents that they should not to" believe or share unverified content" and asked them to rely on "official sources ...
