Kolkata, April 29 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday accused the Central Forces of carrying out "excesses" and "intimidating voters" in the second and final phase of the state Assembly elections on Wednesday.
Banerjee, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate from Bhabanipur constiteuncy, cast her vote at the Mitra Institution booth.
Later, talking to reporters, she alleged that the CRPF and observers were beating up people.
"They are not sparing even women and children. Since yesterday, they have arrested so many people. I have never seen this type of democracy. This is contempt of court. The central forces cannot torture people like this. There is no state police at the booths. I have been fighting elections since...
