New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- Western Command Army Commander Lt Gen Pushpendra Singh, on Friday, paid homage to Special Forces commando Naik Ajay Kumar, whose mortal remains were brought to his native village in Jammu's Akhnoor area following his death during a watermanship training exercise in Haryana.
Lt Gen Singh laid a wreath and offered his respects to Kumar and Lance Naik Rohit Narayan Patil, who were involved in the training incident at Hathnikund in Yamunanagar district. He described their service and sacrifice as an enduring source of inspiration for future generations and conveyed the Army's solidarity with the bereaved families.
