Panchkula, Sept. 28 -- Haryana has begun training 69 government school teachers in German as part of an initiative to introduce foreign-language learning to students and widen their access to higher education, skill development and international opportunities.
A four-day, in-person training programme for teachers from government schools across the state began at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Gurugram, on Monday and will continue till October 1.
The teachers have already undergone nearly two months of online training in German. The classroom programme aims to strengthen their language skills and train them in methods for teaching German to school students in an engaging and effective manner.
