Chandigarh, Sept. 12 -- Haryana has topped the country in blood donation per million population for a third straight year, collecting 5.89 lakh units in 2025-26, and will be honoured by the Centre at a national event in New Delhi on October 1.
The ranking, based on verified annual data on the Centre's e-RaktKosh portal, puts Haryana ahead of other states on blood donation relative to population. The state had also received national honours in 2024 and 2025.
The award will be presented during the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day programme at Lady Hardinge Medical College.
