Panchkula, Aug. 11 -- Haryana is set to overhaul the way citizens access government information, with the State Information Commission launching a year-long capacity-building programme for nearly 25,000 State Public Information Officers (SPIOs) and First Appellate Authorities (FAAs) across the state.
Significantly, the programme will also train around 6,300 Sarpanches functioning as SPIOs at the village level, bringing virtually the entire information-disclosure machinery under a common training framework.
