Haryana to share ASD voter lists with political parties for verification during SIR exercise

Panchkula, June 20 -- Haryana's Election Department has directed District Election Officers (DEOs) across all 23 districts to share booth-wise lists of voters identified under the Absent, Shifted, Deceased and Duplicate (ASD) category with recognised political parties as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

According to an official press note, the exercise aims to verify the status of voters before publication of the revised electoral rolls and minimise errors in the voter database. The ASD lists will also be made available through the offices of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and District Election Officers for verification purposes.
