Chandigarh, April 1 -- In a major push toward environmental sustainability, Haryana Forest and Environment Minister Rao Narbir Singh announced on Wednesday that the state government is taking a visionary step to make Haryana climate-resilient. Following Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's 2026-27 budget proposal, the state will establish the 'Haryana Green Climate Resilient Fund' with an initial seed capital of Rs 100 crore. The fund is designed to incentivise investments in zero-emission vehicles, renewable energy, water conservation, urban greening, and climate-smart agriculture, aligning with India's national goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2070.
