Panchkula, Aug. 26 -- Haryana is establishing a new support system to help its top athletes serve as mentors and develop future sports talent. The state government plans to offer loans of up to Rs 5 crore at low interest rates to Arjuna Awardees and Olympic medallists who want to support young athletes.
Speaking to reporters in Panchkula, State Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam said this plan is part of a larger effort to improve Haryana's sports system and make sure successful athletes can help train the next generation of winners.
