Chandigarh, Sept. 29 -- Haryana will offer special financial incentives to doctors and support staff at government hospitals based on patient numbers, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said on Tuesday, as the state seeks to draw more beneficiaries of its health insurance schemes to public facilities.

Saini said hospitals recording an increase in patients under the Ayushman Bharat and Chirayu schemes would be able to provide incentives to doctors, support staff and Ayushman Mitras, according to an official statement issued after a health department review meeting.

"Government hospitals where the number of patients increases will provide special incentives to doctors, supporting staff and Ayushman Mitras," Saini said.
