Panchkula, July 30 -- Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Aarti Singh Rao on Thursday announced that the state government is preparing to launch the ambitious 'Oxy Van' scheme, a green initiative aimed at increasing tree cover and addressing rising pollution levels across the state.

Speaking to reporters during Van Mahotsav celebrations at Alipur village in Barwala, Panchkula, Rao said protecting the environment was a collective responsibility and urged people to participate in plantation drives.

"The Haryana Government is committed to protecting the environment. We will soon launch the Oxy Van scheme to strengthen green cover and curb pollution," she said, adding that trees were the most effective natural defence against deteriora...
