Chandigarh, Oct. 27 -- The Haryana Government will honour outstanding sports persons at a state-level ceremony at Bheem Stadium in Bhiwani on October 30, with Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini attending as the chief guest.
Haryana Minister of State for Sports Gaurav Gautam said on Tuesday that medal winners at the Asian and Para-Asian Games would receive cash awards worth several crores of rupees at the ceremony.
The event will also feature a women's Haryana-style kabaddi match between teams from Haryana and Punjab, along with a wrestling competition.
Winners of the wrestling competition will receive cash incentives, the minister said.
