Panchkula, July 31 -- In a significant urban planning reform for smaller towns, the Haryana Government has introduced a comprehensive Town Planning Scheme for Residential Plotted Housing covering 66 Municipal Councils and Committees.
It aims to eliminate unchecked growth of unauthorised colonies and promote planned, sustainable, and affordable urban development.
The new policy, notified by the Urban Local Bodies Department under the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973, establishes a structured framework for approving residential plotted colonies in municipal areas where controlled area provisions do not apply.
