Panchkula, Sept. 3 -- Haryana is intensifying efforts to remove stray cattle from roads and hold owners accountable for leaving animals unattended.
The state government will launch a statewide campaign to capture stray cattle, identify owners, and enhance care in sanctuaries and gaushalas.
This initiative comes in response to reports received by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini that some cattle owners allow animals to roam freely on roads after milking, contributing to the growing presence of stray cattle and increasing safety risks for commuters.
To address this, the government is considering escalating penalties. Owners may face a Rs 11,000 fine for a first offence, Rs 21,000 for a second, and an FIR may be filed after a third incident...
