Panchkula, Aug. 29 -- Haryana is preparing to establish a State Commission for Minorities to protect the interests and rights of minority communities, address their grievances and recommend measures for their social, economic, educational and cultural advancement.

The Haryana State Commission for Minorities Bill, 2026, is slated to be taken up during the ongoing Monsoon Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

The proposed legislation seeks to establish a state-level mechanism to review safeguards available to minorities under the Constitution and laws and suggest measures for their effective implementation in Haryana.
