Panchkula, Oct. 13 -- The Haryana government has decided to reopen the one-time option portal for Group-D employees from October 14 to 30, allowing them to reconsider their choice of remaining in the Common Cadre or opting out, after acknowledging that an incorrect warning on the earlier portal had created confusion over the loss of seniority.
In an order dated October 1, the Human Resources Department said the earlier portal had displayed a message suggesting that employees would lose their seniority irrespective of whether they opted for their originally allotted department or another department.
The government described the message as "inadvertent and incorrect" and said it was inconsistent with the applicable service rules.
