Panchkula, June 28 -- Haryana has proposed capping the number of dwelling units permissible on a single residential plot at a maximum of four - with strictly one unit per floor - in a significant amendment to the Haryana Building Code, 2017, that will have direct and far-reaching implications for homeowners, builders, real estate developers, architects and property buyers across every planned urban area in the state.
The Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP), Haryana, issued a public notice inviting objections and suggestions from the general public and all stakeholders on the proposed amendments, which have already received in-principle government approval.
Submissions are due by July 25, 2026 - 30 days from the date of notice....
