Panchkula, Oct. 1 -- Haryana has proposed a major change to its development rules, aiming to allow more types of land use by replacing the current system of allowed activities with lists of banned uses for each zone.

Under the proposed system, any activity not specifically banned in a land-use zone would be allowed, in line with current policy rules - a big change that could affect homeowners, landowners, developers, traders, and businesses across the state.
